AVALONIA is a new project from multi-instrumentalist Jacquelyn Hynes (“Gifted and innovative” Irish In Britain “Outstanding flute-playing” FolkandRoots, “Transfixing playing” Guardian) featuring the stunning voices of acclaimed Asian singing sensation Najma Akhtar (“Najma’s voice remains beyond emulation” Observer review “Artistry and emotional daring” Rolling Stone Magazine “Her voice is a heaven-sent gift” Songlines) and heart-felt Irish singer songwriter J.Eoin (“A truly gifted songwriter” Irish Post “Steeped in Irish history and mythology” Guardian “Totally modern and enchanting songs” Musician Magazine)
Born out of Jacquelyn’s Irish/World music TARABA project in 2007 (Time Out Critics Choice and Arts Council Award) which also featured Najma and J; AVALONIA will bring you an evening of sinuous vocals, inspiring Celtic melodies and pulsating rhythms. Your heart will sing and your feet will dance!
PLEASE NOTE: DOORS OPEN: 7pm, MUSIC STARTS AT 9pm.
The venue comprises both seated and standing space. There are a limited number of tables. These are allocated on a first come first served basis, with priority given to diners. If you’d like a table, please ensure you arrive early.
We reserve the right to release all unclaimed tickets for re-sale at 9.30pm. If you will be arriving after this time, please inform us in advance, so that we can hold your tickets for you.
