THE BLACK POWER MIXTAPE 1967-1975 mobilizes a treasure trove of lost film forgotten in a Swedish basement for 30 years, into an irresistible mosaic of images, music, and narration chronicling the evolution of the Black Power movement. With unseen interviews with the leaders such as: Angela Davis, Bobby Seale, Stokely Carmichael, Kathleen Cleaver, Eldridge Cleaver,Minister Farrakhan, Huey P Newton, the film explores the community, people and radical ideas of the movement. Music by Questlove and Om'Mas Keith, and commentary from Erykah Badu, Harry Belafonte, Talib Kweli, and Melvin Van Peebles. This film is an unprecedented account of an American revolution and must be seen by young and old.
