TELEVISION PERSONALITIES
Quite possibly the finest cult band in the UK, the TVPs formed in 1977. Centred around the constant figure of songwriter Dan Treacy, they have released eight studio albums, the most recent of which - 'My Dark Places' - came out earlier this year on Domino Records.
Tonight is a full band line-up featuring Treacy, Ed Ball, Victoria Yeulet and John Bennett plus Mike Stone and Texas Bob.

THE JEFFREY LEWIS BAND
Since the release in 2002 of 'The Last Time I Did Acid I Went Insane and Other Favorites', folk-punker and cartoonist Jeff Lewis has amassed a wide following that would fill the Windmill many many times over. yet he keeps coming back to this humble backstreet space. We like that and on tonight double-header he plays with his usual band featuring Jack and Dave.
Her's some press guff about his current album on Rough Trade (City & Eastern Songs):
A more polished effort from the Big Apple’s best-kept secret. NYC’s never exactly lacked eccentric singer-songwriters, but all, from Lou Reed up to Adam Green, would struggle to out-boho Jeffrey Lewis… The likes of 'Time Machine' exhibit Velvets-style fuzz, while the speedfreak ramblings of “Williamsburg Will Oldham Horror” show just what makes this comic-book obsessive so unique… Stick with it young fellow – we’re with you all the way. - NME (8/10)
Jeffrey Lewis is a god, there’s no denying it.
- Drowned in Sound
Compared to the flash of the Strokes, Lower East Side boy Jeff is a thrift shop minstrel from the more interesting side of town. An excellent urban addition to the new American folk of Sufjan Stevens and Devendra Banhart. - Daily Mirror (4/5)

VICTORIA YEULET & BENJAMIN PROSSER
Ben Prosser fronts his own band and Victoria Yeulet can be found singing with The Television Personalities and The Husbands.
Together they make songs that draw from their mutual loves of old-time, blues, country, folk, gospel, r'n'b and rockabilly which they practice on wooden floors with tape players, voices, pedals and tea.
