Southampton based rock/pop band 'Dlugokecki' are finally back!
Dlugokecki will be releasing a new single on the 5th December, with a new album being released on the 6th February 2012. Xtravaganza 9 will be the only chance in 2011 to hear the new album, and will of course, be the party to end all parties!!
After a successful '10 Years of Dlugokecki' tour last year the band have been in several studios over the year recording their first studio album in 5 years, titled 'Putting the Tracks in Front of the Train'.
The Dlugokecki Xmas Xtravaganza 9 is an event not to be missed. The event has sold out for 4 years, and this year the band are even more excited. The band play a 1.5 hour set that features all the best original songs and epic christmas cover songs. And of course, Daddy Dlugokecki will make an appearance. There are some extremely special guests, including 3 confirmed support acts - The Morphic Fields, The Strings and Ideawake.
"We decided to take a break this year with touring, to reflect on what we had done over the 10 years, and to focus on making a real record with real feeling" says singer/songwriter Ben Dlugokecki.
"This will be our finest album by far. We've all put 110% into these songs and we believe they are our best. We're buzzing!" says producer/piano player Andy Wild.
"The line-up has gone back old school" comments drummer Boyd. "I went traveling for a year so Rob filled in. He did an amazing job, but it will be great to come back and do Xtravaganza".
"Recording out tribute to Sally Taylor really kicked the new album off" says co-producer/guitarist Tim Jackson "We got in the studio and mucked around, came up with this crazy tribute and then the demos started for the album".
"Xtravaganza is the place to be" says Aidan Hampson "and the new songs will make an impact, we love them - we hope you do to".
