Formed from the meeting of five lively minds in Nottingham in 2008 Dog Is Dead have set about establishing themselves in the style of their music and personalities, with the minimum of fuss but the maximum of drive, determination and individuality. With band members drawing influence from a wide range of music, their canon to date veers from African Hi-Life rhythms to complexities drawn from the non goblins and pixies end of prog, the sharp choruses of 80’s power pop and the twists and turns of intelligent alternative music.
