Event information

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is the largest centre for children with heart problems in the UK and one of the largest centres for children's heart transplants in the world.

The monies raised through this event and by other Spirit Group public houses will help GOSH provide vital equipment and a treatment cubicle for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the hospital, where some of the most seriously ill children are cared for.
Any queries in respect of GOSH should be raised with Lindsey Burke 0207 239 3015, lindsey.burke@gosh.org.

Mark Murphy will host the event on December 11th which will act as a feeder for a full blown street party to be held not earlier than Easter 2012.

DJ Rusty Egan, of Rich Kids, Visage and Blitz Club fame, will be the anchor man. Discussions have been held with a leading South American bank and a UK based computer manufacturer with a view to underwriting any of the costs of the event in order to maximise the funds passed to GOSH. Additional fundraising for the event will come from the sale of tickets at £10.00 each.

We are encouraging some of the 80's personalities to attend the event to meet and greet those that buy tickets to attend and strong support has been shown already.

Steve Norman of Spandau Ballet, who plays saxophone, guitar, percussion, and other instruments, has confirmed as a celebrity guest.

One half of pop duo Dollar, Thereza Bazar, has confirmed as a celebrity guest and she is bringing her dancing shoes!

Kirsty Mckenzie, the leading designer, has confirmed her attendance and is producing some event T shirts to assist with fund raising.

The following have already been invited:
Annie Lennox
Bishi
Boy George
Daniel Lismore
Rose Turner who is a real name with all things 80'S. The "BLITZ" was her domain and she controlled the door.
Steve Strange
Zandra Rhodes
