Artists live for those rare moments when everything lines up; when they gather the right songs and the right people in the right place at the right time, and find themselves and their music truly coming alive. Brigitte DeMeyer is experiencing just such a moment. Her new CD 'Rose of Jericho' is proof of that. A wonderful CD by an artist who realises she’s surrounded by the greats of Americana music, such as Sam Bush, Buddy Miller and Brady Blade, her co-producer/percussionist/drummer. www.brigittedemeyer.com
Will Kimbrough is in a similar place in his artistic career. Will Kimbrough is hungry. The youthful singer, songwriter, award-winning guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, performer and bandleader has a voracious appetite for every aspect of music. Born and raised in the deep south of the Alabama Gulf Coast, Kimbrough was surrounded by different kinds of music. In his quest to develop his musical capacities to their fullest, Will Kimbrough has become a modern-day Renaissance Man. Kimbrough is known as the guitar player for Rodney Crowell and recently Emmylou Harris. His songs have been covered by artists such as Jimmy Buffett, Todd Snider, Jack Ingram and Little Feat. His new CD will be out early 2012. www.willkimbrough.com
Brigitte DeMeyer and Will Kimbrough will each do their own set, and they will both support each other. But both of them will also have the support of Chris Donohue, the utterly talented bass player who has played with all the greats of Americana music such as Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Lyle Lovett, Gillian Welch and many many more. www.christopherdonohue.com
