Xrayhorse music is ridiculously proud once again to be hosting Ghostpoet’s Sheffield tour show, he on a musical crusade as he slays all before him on a full soon to be a sell-out UK tour in 2012. The mercury music prize nominee and Jools Holland show stealer will bring his full live show to Sheffield once again, and will no doubt destroy DQ’s Funktion One sound system, just like he did at the Harley for us back in October.

Ghostpoet aka Obaro Ejimiwe has quickly cemented his stature as one of the UK’s most exciting and original artists. Heralded a mighty force to be reckoned with by inspirational figures such as Roots Manuva and Mike Skinner of The Streets, Ghostpoet is no flash in the pan and is set to make more headway into the minds of the nation in 2012. Obaro’s debut album ‘Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam’ is crammed with his loveable ramshackle, homemade productions and instantly recognisable vocal ditties, ‘Peanut Butter Blues…’ is a neat summation of the MC’s musical journey to date, but also an impressive statement of intent.
His live show however is a punk onslaught of lazy synths and snares, high NRG grooves that slap and tickle and lyrical firepower that leaves the crowd straddling between dumbfoundness and moshing.
