What do you get when you combine the most famous doodle artist in the world with a cult figure in the Berlin art underground, throw in a ukulele, a bunch of masks, an obsession with salad and an overactive sense of worry?

Anxieteam is the musical collaboration between internationally acclaimed visual artists Jon Burgerman and Jim Avignon, and after shows in 2011 in New York, Zurich, Helsinki and Cologne, the band will play their first UK gigs in over 18 months in January 2012.

Anxieteam splice together infectious, merry electronic pop melodies with dry and sardonic, yet heartfelt lyrics. It is music as colourful and as full of humour as their art, and equally as fraught with doubt and longing.

Through the magic of electronic sounds and fumbled strumming on the ukulele, Anxieteam will transport you to a dreamy electronic, lo-fi, blip-bloppy pop world of anxiety, heartbreak and salads.

Over in the UK to support the recent release of their limited edition 4-track 22-card postcard book EP, this is a unique chance to see Anxieteam at the Hand & Heart.

Expect brand new masks, murals, projections, coerced dancers and, quite possibly, free vegetables.

Gearing up for the release of their Sadness Defeated album in spring 2012, We Show Up On Radar make tender, woozy, acoustic folk-pop bathed in melancholy and brimming with melody.

Expect a delicate set of twinkling and tender indie-pop magic, full of beautiful, broken-hearted pop ballads.

Think the bittersweet songwriting genius of Daniel Johnston and Mark Linkous, throw in references to Billy Crystal, death (but the death of unhappiness - HALLELUJAH!), sparrows, mice and Patrick Moore, and you’re coming close to what We Show Up On Radar are all about.
