'Deep, southern fried, funky, instrumental reggae vibes are the order of the day with The Caroloregians and their album ‘Fat is Back’. The Caroloregians hail from Belgium and have been laying down funky reggae stylings since 2006. Fronted by Matt Hardison, originally from New Orleans, their vibe is heavily influenced by the late, great masters of the Hammond organ and that boss reggae style; such names as Harry J Allstars, Jackie Mittoo and The Upsetters immediately spring to mind. Mix this with a large dose of funk and Southern Soul flavour and you’ve got a seriously irresistible sound.
