‘What must it be like to be the most famous woman on earth?’
In the summer of 1956, Colin Clark worked as an assistant on the set of The Prince and the Showgirl, a film starring Marilyn Monroe. Nearly 40 years on, Clark’s diary account was published - but one week was missing. This is the story of that week, when Colin introduced Monroe to some of the pleasures of British life, away from her Hollywood hangers-on and the pressures of work.
‘Michelle Williams is at her most magical, brilliantly capturing Marilyn’s voice and physical mannerisms.’ The Daily Mail
Directed by: Simon Curtis (2011, 99mins)
