Event information

This popular event returns to Hanger Farm with live music from great bands. This time we welcome joint headline acts, Wide Awake from Southampton and These Days who are from Salisbury. Support will come from local band, Ideawake and Portsmouth based Amberline, as well as Totton based Nature of the Young.

These Days

These Days are a 4 piece rock/pop outfit born from a passion for music and a yearning to get the crowd jumping. Taking inspiration from the likes of Foo Fighters and Brand New, These Days have an exciting and different outlook on music.

These Days formed in mid 2011 from a collective of various Salisbury bands (Dance karate, Drowned By Oceans and I Met Nature) and intend to see through 2011 with a bang. The band has already made great strides, putting out a well received two track release, a 6 track mini album and 2 music videos which have been warmly received.

Wide Awake

Wide Awake are a five piece Post-Hardcore/Alternative band from Southampton, formed in the late summer of 2010. Taking early influence from bands such as Alexisonfire and Emarosa, the band burst onto the scene with their melodic guitar riffs and catchy vocals, impressing audiences in and around their hometown.
Since forming, the band have shared the stage with big names such as: Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Yashin, Exit Ten, Reef and Not Advised.

In July 2011 Wide Awake released their debut EP as a free online download, which is available here: www.wideawakeband.co.uk The EP was well received by all, and the band hope it will help them to raise their profile as they continue to gig around the UK.

Amberline

Since releasing their debut EP 'Soundtrack Of Your Life' at the start of 2011, pop-punk boys Amberline have had an awesome journey. Gig highlights such as a sold out Camden Barfly and festival spots at Defest, Step Up Festival and 100% Bitchfest have not only established their name but also their reputation as one of the UK's fast rising young bands. Their exciting stagecraft has gained them incredible support slots alongside such bands as Attack! Attack!, Kids Can’t Fly, The Lost Boys, We Start Partys and many more.
Amberline bring a re-energising twist to the typical formula of the pop-punk sound, citing their influences from mighty greats like Funeral For A Friend, ADTR, Enter Shikari and Blink 182. With continuous gigging, a new recording set for a 2012 release and relentless hard work, you would be mad to miss out on this.
Ideawake

All of the members of Ideawake have had success in their own right with various projects over the last couple of years. Over the summer of 2011, in a lounge meeting fueled by kittens and tea, Ideawake were born.

After initial rehearsals, it was clear very quickly that Ideawake were writing some powerful and infectious rock tunes, after playing a couple of low key anonymous shows they were well received with great reviews.

Fresh out of the studio, Ideawake plan to take their sound on the road with shows along the South Coast and London, bringing the best origional music to come out of the South in years.

A band not to be missed.

Nature of the Young

Nature of the Young are an Alternative Rock band starting as a three piece (Chris, Frankie, Josh) in late 2010. Things began quiet for the boys as they spent the majority of 2011 concentrating on their studies, only playing school concerts. It wasn’t until the summer that the band finally began to practice regularly, recruiting Tom Linton as guitarist. Playing a few gigs through the autumn as warm up for what the New Year could bring, they upgraded to a five piece with the addition of Jamie Easton as guitarist and lead vocalist; sending the band in a totally new and much more ambitious direction.

The band are making their second appearance at Hanger Farm after a promising debut at the recent Children in Need Charity Show.
