Event information
Rabbit Foot- great abrasive guitar that could even be Hubert Sumlin, the Wolf vocal is similarly authentic but it's a blues wailin' chick- great Afro Blues, the sound is spot on, neurotic waling bassline, insistent percussion, very nice.
Colin D's ouevre is most impressive, a whizz on the guitar, an achingly brilliant singer but not afraid of a few post modern touches either. Fabulous groovy band too.
David's Praise- hiphop meets gospel and it all gels sweetly- Black Street meets Stevie Wonder via, well, gospel.
Grimm- White Stripes set-up but with dramatic stabbing piano and a girl laying down a funky, excitable beat, quite Nick Cave, the dramatic flourishes of The Bad Seeds.
