Oxfordshire Music Scene / Back & To The Left presents

Gunning For Tamar celebrate the release of their debut EP for the Alcopop! label with a frighteningly raucus night at the Cellar along with some very special invited guests.

Formed in early 2010, Alcopop! Records newest signings are Gunning For Tamar (Joe Wallis (lead vox/guitar), Dan Pollard (guitar/keyboards/vox), D’Arcy King (drums) and Ben Green (bass) – who release their debut EP on the label on March 19th. Available on a strictly limited edition orange wristwatch release, this one is set to introduce the world to Oxford’s newest exports.

Already confirmed as Ones to Watch in Rocksound for 2012, the band previously picked up the Breakthrough Track Of The Week through NME for 'The Organs...', their first single.

+ JUMPING SHIPS

Brighton's alt rock favourites have tour dates with the sensation Tellison and then a full tour with Alcopop! label mates ' Gunning For Tamar .'

" An addictive blend of danceable, jangly rock songs topped with British punk attitude Got their tune on repeat all day " Kerrang Magazine

" Standard Bearer is the launching platform for these guys to do some serious commercial damage " Rock Sound Magazine

+ DEER CHICAGO

What a year 2011 has been for Deer Chicago; increasingly engaging live performances and this self-released single have ensured their rise from likeable local noise trio to Oxford’s most promising rock outfit. There is a good reason that ‘Lantern Collapse’ is the highest selling local release in Truck Store, it’s brilliant. If their output continues in this vein, they could be the Oxford breakthrough of 2012 and it couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch.
