Widely held to be amongst the UK's finest singer-songwriters, Charlie Dore is one of the few UK female artists to secure a top 20 chart hit in the US, with her enduring radio classic, Pilot of the Airwaves. Her songs have been recorded by a veritable who's who of popular music, including Tina Turner, George Harrison, Lisa Stansfield, Paul Carrick and Celine Dion. Her chart success has continued with a UK number one, Ain't No Doubt, sung by Jimmy Nail.

Purveying knowing, worldly, delicate but mordant pop born out of wisdom, and the desire to share it, Dore's voice is small, pearly and oddly timeless. Her songs, an eclectic collection of genre-defying musical styles which she describes as ‘borrowed from folk, country, Django Reinhardt and the Beatles’, consider life in all its cheapskatery and riches.
