Electrelane are a British all-female indie rock band. Their music draws from wide range of influences including Neu!, Stereolab, Sonic Youth and The Velvet Underground..The band, when playing live, have a reputation for a focused, intense and thrilling shows.

NME rated their debut album 8 out of 10
"just the way a debut album should be... utterly focused [and] stripped of all extraneous flab."

Their second album ‘The Power Out’ was produced by the legendary Steve Albini (The Pixies, Nirvana, The Stooges, PJ Harvey). It received rave reviews from critics and the band confirmed their status as being the real icons of girl power by supporting Arcade Fire for their European tour and opening for The Beastie Boys and Le Tigre in London. Electrelane toured the world extensively Fuji Rock Festival, La Route du Rock, etc.

To the devastation of fans they went on a hiatus in 2007 but interest in the band continued with their music featuring in UK cult TV series ‘Skins’ . They returned in2011 and played Big Chill, Field Day, and a string of shows as part of the 2011 European Summer festival season. Performing to awestruck crowds and pleased critics, we feel pretty lucky to be next in the receiving line!
