The Studio in association with Bonus Grooves Ents and Rockpig present arguably one on the best unsigned bands in the North East right now, having played a storming stripped back set at the Pindrop Christmas special lst december are coming back to Hartlepool in May...... and advanced tickets are cheap as chips....

Experimental space folk love songs.
'the band themselves looked more like a renegade motorcycle gang than any kind of folk group: all tattooes, black vests and lumberjack shirts. And the music they made was a million miles removed from the usual selfindulgent slop you get when singer-songwriters recruit a backing group. With crunching guitars teetering on the brink of feedback and the sledgehammer rhythm section of Lewis Brett on drums and Jim Brown on five string bass, this was authentic brooding Americana from Newcastle - Byker gothic, if you like.'

It sounds like The Bookhouse Boys, Ryan Adams and Tindersticks, on horseback, trying to rob a train that’s plummeting down the side of a cliff into Nick Cave’s own private ravine. It sounds like a dive bar. It sounds like pulling your stetson down over your eyes and bearing your teeth. It sounds like the murdered extras from every forgotten Sergio Leone film trying to seduce each other with vowels.
It sounds like it’s offering every other song you’ve ever heard out for a fight and, most importantly, it sounds like it would win.'
