Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut album 'A World In A Grain Of Sand', The Magic Lantern return to the Green Note for a second, 3 date residency. Their unique, transporting sound inspired by the stories of folk, the spirit of jazz and the experimental openness of contemporary classical music, made their first sold out residency a very special experience and we are excited to have them back. For their final date of the residency they are joined by The Beguilers, a recently formed F-IRE Collective band that bring together tender, mellifluous singing and sensitively crafted song-writing. These elements are woven into the narratives of poems by William Blake, Shakespeare, Joyce and others, delicately bringing their images and metaphors to life with finely wrought harmonies and luscious melodies. Composed by Fred Thomas for singer Ellie Rose and clarinetist Dave Shulman, these songs will invite your imagination to be at once moved, released and beguiled.
