Pure Data is a free and open source application used by many artists and musicians to experiment with sound, visuals and ways to combine the two. In this workshop you will learn the basics of the program so that you can develop simple audio systems, generate visuals and develop approaches to controlling them both. Since the software is free, these are skills that you can then develop yourself after the workshop.
The workshop is led by Tom Mudd
Participants will NEED to bring a laptop and that they should download a copy of pd-extended from:

Tom Mudd is a london based musician who writes software to allow him to harness electronic sounds for live performance. his research around this focuses on mapping techniques for physical controllers and generative tools to aid live improvisation. both of these areas are regularly put to use performing and recording with acoustic and electronic musicians.
He lectures in Live Electronics and Music and Computing at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
