Manchester's rising stars The Slow Show play an intimate gig at The Beach Sessions at The Baptist Chapel, Waterbeach, Cambridge. Currently being championed by Jo Whiley, Lauren Laverne and Dermot O'Leary, the band's new single God Only Knows is becoming a favourite on BBC6 Music and Radio 2. The gig comes a week after their major London showcase at The Union Chapel. The band have a real taste for playing historic venues recently supporting Elbow for a BBC radio broadcast at Manchester Cathedral and their recent Brother EP launch at St Giles in the Fields church London.

The 150 year old Baptist Chapel in Waterbeach (on the outskirts of Cambridge) provides the perfect setting for The Slow Show's dynamic, warm, beautiful organic sound that has many references to American alt folk rock.

The Slow Show will be supported by special guest Blue Rose Code, playing an acoustic set.

The neighbouring Sun Inn is opening up its function room for pre-gig, interval and post gig drinks as the Chapel has a no alcohol policy, but soft drinks will be available.

Waterbeach is easily accessible by car and there are regular trains direct to London (50 mins), Cambridge (5 mins) and Ely (10 mins) from the village railway station.
