Can't stop the Serenity is a global charity event to raise money for the charity Equality Now. The Gateshead 2012 event is at the Odeon cinema in the Metrocentre and includes a screening of Dr Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog © (screened by permission from Time Science Blood Club, LLC) and the 2005 film 'Serenity' directed by Joss Whedon.
The screenings are followed by a Shindig upstairs in the Ambar where food and drinks will be available. The Shindig includes a raffle, Whedonverse themed quiz and there will be extra items/merchandise including cinema posters available to buy.
