Lisa Redford (“one of our finest singer/songwriters” Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2) makes a long-awaited return to her home city Norwich to play a special intimate solo acoustic show at The Bicycle Shop.
The show will be part of a UK tour to promote her beautiful and heartfelt new EP 'Reminders'. Taking the listener on a warm intimate music journey, 'Reminders' is a combination of acoustic and band songs with Lisa playing her acoustic guitar against a background of bass, piano, strings and drums played by some of New York City's finest musicians.
The release continues her strong melodic sensibility and gift for well-crafted songs. 'Reminders' was recorded in Brooklyn, NYC and produced by Jeff Hill a respected and incredibly talented musician who has also played with the likes of Rufus Wainwright, Teddy Thompson, Neal Casal and Erin McKeown. Lisa's words about the release and working with Jeff: "he really understood where I was coming from musically and I'm so happy with how it sounds. As with all my material, the songs really come from the heart and these really represent where I am musically right now. There's a theme running through of reflecting and looking back with a couple of the songs certainly inspired about my time living in NYC."
Showcasing the strength of her beautiful vocals and great song writing, Reminders is a wonderful addition to her already impressive musical catalogue.
"In a sea of smart female singer-songwriters, Lisa Redford is an admiral.' Maverick Magazine ****
“There is a warmth and welcoming vibe to Redford's music that really is difficult to resist…Bob Harris, the patron saint of female singer-songwriters, has Redford right up there at the top of the pile. It's easy to see why.' Americana UK 8 out of 10
