Dinner With Daisy Club Night
19.09.12
Icons of Elegance, BangStrokeBlow, Vespers, Frances Bowman, Matthew Lee Knowles + French For Cartridge (DJ set)
After a relaxing and reasonably sunny summer break, it is time for the next Dinner With Daisy Club Night! Once again we invite you over to the atmospheric east London haunt that is Jamboree on Cable St in Limehouse, for an evening of music, art and cake - this time on a Wednesday instead of the usual Sunday, in order to carry you over to the weekend in a suitably stylish and relaxed fashion!
We are delighted to have Icons of Elegance over on these shores for a rare live appearance; fresh from coverage on BBC Radio 2 and in anticipation of their new album released on Dinner With Daisy Records later in the year, expect to hear some fine examples of their Americana-infused summer pop. We are equally excited to offer you BangStrokeBlow with their mystical Eigenharps and killer beats. We can’t wait to hear one of the first outings of Vespers, a new acoustic band featuring members of Dinner With Daisy favourites RTP. What’s more, sculptor and art thinker extraordinaire Frances Bowman will present her latest work and you’d never want to miss maverick composer and performance artist Matthew Lee Knowles! There will also be cake, of course. Finally, French For Cartridge DJs will spin some fittingly relaxed tunes for your enjoyment – all in the surroundings of the fantastic Jamboree.
It is a school night, so doors are already at 7.00 with the first act on stage soon after and everything should be wrapped up in time for a reasonably early bedtime – DJs until 11 for those who want to carry on.

(If you’re local you probably know this fantastic venue already – if not, it’s a lot easier to get to than you think...just across the road is Limehouse DLR, which is just 2 short stops from Bank and Tower Hill or 3 stops from Canary Wharf from the other direction. Also close by is Shadwell station on the reopened East London Line. You can also hop on a bus, 15 from Paddington/Trafalgar Sq/Tower Hill, 115 from Aldgate/Aldgate East, D3 from Bethnal Green/Whitechapel or 135 from Old St/Liverpool St – hope you can make it!)
