A Body Of People embrace a little Stranglers punchy pop punk psych, some SAHB like irreverent lyricism and a groovy dose of Who-ish power, all wrapped up in folkish hues and shimmering keys. Marvellous stuff.
Dog Gone make an interesting blend of counter culturally adrift late 60s into 70s progressive rocknroll and cheeky pop...something of Richard Thompson what with the lilt of folk in here and the clever guitar playing but it's direct and garagey too...a bit new wavey in fact. Like it. Sort of The Soft Boys meets The Monkees in garage mode, helluva blend...
California Gypsies- Mr Andy Kyte's poetic pop rock finery.... Sounds like early REM with shades of Belle and Sebastian via The Divine Comedy.
Openers The Screaming Kicks embrace old school rock and roll of a Faces/Frankie Miller hue and give it a real treat of a bluesologised kick around.
