Cathy’s music career is probably as diverse as they come.
She grew up in rural Devon, UK, leant the piano from a very early age and picked up the guitar in her teens. Inspired by artists as diverse as Tracy Chapman, The Shamen, and Elvis Presley her love of music led her on to an ever-developing interest in song writing. She studied for a music degree at Chichester University which stood her in good stead for the diversity of her life and work in music which was to come.
Cathy’s music and talents have taken her from the roof-tops of Shillong in North East India to arenas in Beirut, from village churches in England to stadiums in Argentina, from an orphanage in Romania to Brixton Academy in London. She has toured and played around the world over the last 12 years in Countries including, Russia, Canada, USA, France, Holland, Ukraine and many more.
As a result of her enjoyment of a broad cross section of music, Cathy works and performs in several genres.
She has released three singer songwriter albums of which she continues to tour, performing both solo, with an acoustic guitar and also with her long-standing band.
Her work as a singer songwriter has, amongst others, seen her work with people such as the legendary Elton John producer Gus Dudgeon and probably her favourite song writer of all time Deacon Blue’s Ricky Ross.
It’s no secret that Cathy greatly values her own spiritual journey and in 2010 she fulfilled one of her dreams by releasing an album of self-penned Worship music,. This album: ‘Source of every hour’ has been particularly well received. She continues to perform and lead this music in Churches and events around the World alongside her other mainstream engagements.
