Event information
Ellen and The Escapades are Ellen Smith (vocals, guitar), Jeffrey Schneider (electric guitar/ vocals), Chris Quick (keyboards, harmonica, vocals), James Warrinder (drums) and Andy Calder (bass).
Since their formation in 2009 they have been chosen by the BBC to play at Leeds and Reading Festivals. Last year they won Q Magazines emerging talent competition, and as a result played at Glastonbury.
This year they will play The Green Man Festival as well as others. They are fresh from a 24 date UK tour accompanying the Manchester band The Travelling Band.
Earlier this year they released their debut album 'All The Crooked Scenes'. Ellen's captivating vocals are the highlight in a catchy selection of songs that tread the line between folk, pop and rock, with plenty of harmonica thrown in for good measure.
