Producer, performer, songwriter and remixer MaJiKer, alias Matthew Ker, presents his new show NORTH. A collection of Nordic folk melodies interpreted by eclectic voices, where layers of vocal harmony and human beatbox evoke the frosty chill of nature, this is a love letter to the beautiful landscapes of the north. The recording of the album is ongoing and features vocals from a remarkable selection of artists from all over the world including Mercury nominated Sam Lee, who will perform a guest solo set at this Elgar Room show.

MaJiKer has enjoyed a diverse range of collaborations, from recording with Valgeir Sigur∂sson and juice vocal ensemble, to remixing Nico Muhly and Fever Ray. With French vocalist Camille he produced two critically acclaimed hit albums, served as musical director and performer on her international concert tours, and won numerous awards including a BBC Radio 3 World Music Award, Victoires de la Musique, and the French Mercury Music Prize, Le Prix Contantin.

This event takes place in the Elgar Room and has unreserved cabaret-style seating.
