Tom Waits is one of the most respected and prolific songwriters of all time. He has released dozens of albums since his first release ‘Closing Time’ (1973) right up until his most recent ‘Bad as Me’ (2011). A sonic adventurer and cult performer, his songs have been performed and recorded by everyone from The Eagles to Bruce Springsteen to Peter Gabriel. Not to mention Rod Stewart.

Bright Phoebus is a folk collective based in Sheffield which has been performing and promoting concerts across the city and have even ventured south to London once or twice. Regulars include Martin Simpson, Fay Hield, Jon Boden, Roy Bailey, Sam Sweeney, Andy Cutting, James Fagan and Nancy Kerr – all of whom will be contributing to this special tribute to one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th and 21st centuries.
