An exhibition of photographs from the Behind Burlesque photo-documentary project. Around 40,000 photographs were created over a period of about a year in order to produce the Behind Burlesque book, released May 2013.
The best 100 of those will be on show at the exhibition and may also be purchased. These are limited edition, framed prints, signed by the author.
The project features photographs from the studio, live shows and also fantasy location shoots. Forty contemporary performers took part in the project: promising newcomers, rising stars and established international acts. They also provided insights in their own words into their influences, motivations and artistic aspirations, making the book a uniquely intimate exploration of the genre.
