Jess Morgan is a singer-songwriter who is steadily building a name for herself in roots and folk music at home and away. Accompanied by acoustic guitar Jess’s style has been likened to that of the classic east then west coast song-crafters of the 1970s but with her own distinguishable voice.
Recorded with musical friends and collaborators in Bergen, Norway, Jess self-released her debut album, ‘All Swell’, to notable acclaim in 2010.
Since then, extensive touring outside the UK has seen Jess gain an international fanbase playing regular shows in Norway, Germany and Holland.
Jess released her second album in the Spring of 2012. ‘Aye Me’ was quickly championed by BBC Radio 2’s Steve Lamacq,
‘ Gorgeous country folk ’ – the guardian
‘ Simply stunning ’ – folk radio UK
‘ Beautifully crafted original songs ’ – Fish records
‘ Vivid original imagery and a gently plaintive voice make this album a treat ’ – fROOTS Magazine
‘ Every so often you come across a little gem like this! ’ Steve Lamacq , BBC Radio 2

Support comes from Dan Wilde.
Dan Wilde is an English singer-songwriter and musician from Blackpool, now living in Cambridge. He has released two solo albums so far, the most recent being With Fire in Mind. While growing up, Dan played in a number of bands. After taking a course in contemporary music in London, he took a degree in Jazz at the Leeds College of Music. Around 2008, a spiral fracture to his hand while playing sports required metal plates to be fitted in his hand and caused him to put his guitar playing on hold for a while and focus on songwriting. After graduating, he wrote songs for his first solo album, where he worked with Ian Bailey and producer Gary Hall. For his second album, Dan worked with Karl Odlum and Dave Gerard (from Gerard and the Watchmen).
Dan has supported Karine Polwart, Cara Dillon, Martin Taylor, Mark Geary, Karima Francis and Ezio and has played at Cambridge Folk Festival, Beverley Folk Festival and Moonbeams Festival. In 2011, Dan spent a month on tour in the east coast of the US, playing gigs from Maine to Nashville.
His recently released second album is mostly autobiographical in nature, based on the ups and downs in a year of his life. Through careful observation of the situations and characters we can all relate to, combined with his gentle humour, wry wit and positive outlook on life, Dan has the uncanny knack of converting even life's setbacks into very memorable songs. Dan cites Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Waits and Paul Simon among those who have influenced his music. In June/July 2013, Dan will be on tour in Germany.
