SHEELANAGIG
Sheelanagig deliver intricate, rhythmically complex arrangements of original and traditional works in a Balkan style. Formed in early 2005 the band had an instant chemistry, gained a considerable following and quickly earned a reputation for their exhilarating and intense live performances. This group of incredible players force you to dance your socks off and have a great time.
Sheelanagig have played just about every imaginable venue on their
hectic touring schedule; clubs, pubs, art centres, small theatres, European street festivals as well as tearing up the UK festival scene with profile slots at Glastonbury, Green Man and Beautiful Days (to name a few). Sheelanagig’s live shows have grown to incorporate aspects of street theatre, elements of storytelling and even acrobatics. In short, expect mayhem, a lot of laughs and some great music.

THE DESTROYERS
A collection of rogues and misfits surfing a tidal wave of horns, fiddles and guitars! Rapidly exploding from the Balkan Brass genre they emerge as an anarchic orchestra of passion and originality. So enter the big top and be immersed in the winding world of the hurdy-gurdy, the sonorous land of the tuba and the exotic realm of the duduk. Be ready to be engulfed by a wall of mesmerising virtuosity and a whirlwind of frenzied dancing. You may enter unknowingly but you will leave spellbound!
They truly are insane, chaotic and absolutely menkle" Q Magazine
“A 14-piece outfit of exceptional technical quality” Terry Grimley, The Birmingham Post

THE JOHN LANGAN BAND
High energy, unhinged, and musically extravagant, taking traditional acoustic idioms and delivering with punk abandonment and virtuosic flare. A dynamic three piece offering a unique sound emerging from Celtic, Gypsy Swing, Roma and Flamenco and tuned in savvy.
Wrapping pan European traditional acoustic music with infectious grooves, epic, pounding, sing along, punch the air anthems to intricately arranged instrumentals.
Percussion provided by the front man Langan, whilst singing and driving the rythm guitar, he somehow co-ordinates the operating of a cajon and a tambourine with his feet bringing the driving, swinging groove of the rhythm guitar together with his foot percussion resulting in an impressively tight band sound with a tempo that is free to go anywhere. Add scorching hot fiddle lines, a guy thumping the groove out a double bass and If you’re not dancing like a professional ostrich you get a refund.
“The performances crackle with energy; the sparkling interplay between the trio is breathtaking” Rock Society Magazine
