GUM TAKES TOOTH
The lucky punters who were at mind-boggling Gum Takes Tooth show at The Ruby Lounge last October will testify, you GOTTA get yourself down to this. No question.
"Two man everything machine endlessly seeking what-the-fuck aural mesmerism in a maze like arrangement of physically overwhelming rituals of dance music, sound system culture, doom and pan-cultural psychedelics. Each member focusing intently on unmediated rhythmic interaction between crowd and performer, directing the energy towards unexplored altered states. Dark primal frequencies are felt and not heard, unremitting circular drums shatter and rebirth whilst a cast of vocal characters provide an astral guide through these dizzying manipulations."

HELVED RÜM
"Helved Rüm is a duo of improvised/electroacoustic music formed by drummer Julien Chamla and electroacoustician Simon Henocq. The device is very simple, a microphone stands above the drums and sounds are transformed by realtime processing. This is not only a way to transfigure frictions, screeching and all kind of sounds developed on the drums, but this formula also allows a strong and unusual interplay between the two musicians. HELVED RÜM’s music goes from very organic and animalistic feeling to a massive and industrial energy. Within free improvisation, they are exploring a high range of dynamics and a multiplicity of sounds and densities."

HESS (GESAMTKUNSTWERK)

GUTS FOR GARTERS
A supergroup of Tranarchy, Fat Out Til You Pass Out, 2 Koi Karp and KHOM. You might remember them from your voyage into 3014 at Islington Mill's NYE Future Party or crowd-surfing in the bar downstairs to the classic karaoke version of Enter Sandman at The Star & Garter last October.
For those who've not yet had the pleasure probably best you check out their next instalment...
