Phantom Laundry is a Bristol-based night of poetry, spoken word, music, live art, performance cabaret and variety show excellence of the highest order.

Beloved bard of Barnsley Ian Mcmillan is coming to Phantom Laundry is Bristol, and we could NOT be more excited!
He will bring us a one-off performance of words and stories and glee and delight.

Ian is poet-in-residence for The Academy of Urbanism and Barnsley FC.
Previously he was resident poet for English National Opera, UK Trade & Investment Poet, Yorkshire TV's Investigative Poet and Humberside Police's Beat Poet.
He presents The Verb every week on BBC R3 and he's a regular on Coast, Pick of the Week, You & Yours, Last Word and The Arts Show. He's been a castaway on Desert Island Discs and featured with his Orchestra on The South Bank Show. Cats make him sneeze. @IMcMillan www.ian-mcmillan.co.uk

With support from magical ginger poet Anna Freeman. Anna is a multiple slam champion, performance poet and an activist for ginger liberation. Her work is funny, mostly, but with a spine of genuine pain and humiliation at the inarguable fact of her own existence. Her poetry has also been known to leave a greasy after-taste of lingering wrongness. Like a kebab.
