A concert of inspiring music directed by a multi-talented Italian conductor, making his London debut. The first half is almost a mini-opera, with an overture followed by three acted-out operatic scenes from some of the world's greatest operas, sung in Italian. We finish off with the ever-sunny Pastoral Symphony - a perfect end to a Summer concert!
Rossini: Overture to 'Barber of Seville'
Mozart: 'Parto, parto' from 'La Clemenza di Tito'
Verdi: Violetta and Germont duet from 'La Traviata'
Mozart: 'Soave il vento' from 'Così fan tutte'
Beethoven: Symphony No.6 ("Pastoral")
Alessandro Bares - Conductor
Irene Geninatti - Soprano
Norma Ritchie - Mezzo-soprano
Fernando Ciuffo - Baritone
