One of the highlights of this year's Festival will be some outstanding jazz. Headlined by Scottish Vocalist of the Year, Alison Affleck, who is a real ball of fire on Scotland’s jazz scene. The old tunes are her forte and we challenge you not to get up to dance to her music. She fronts a new combo of all stars, The Copper Cats - Colin Steele on trumpet, Danielle Price plays tuba and the renowned Konrad Wiszniewski on tenor sax.
To open the evening Marty Waugh and his band will perform a swinging account of the American songbook. If you love Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and Dean Martin this is for you! Accompanying him will be Euan Stevenson, one of the best young pianists in the country, expert bassist Ed Kelly, and prominent reed player Dick Lee. Mike Nisbet plays guitar, and Davide Rinaldi is on drums.
