The Wave Pictures Play Songs From Artistic Vice tour

The Wave Pictures play a headline UK tour with a new tour only cd release, ‘The Wave Pictures Play Artistic Vice By Daniel Johnston’. The band recorded the album in one day in June at Big Jelly Studios in Ramsgate, covering ‘Artistic Vice’ from beginning to end.

This is not the first time The Wave Pictures have worked on Daniel Johnston material. In 2009 they acted as his backing band on a full UK tour, during which time they played songs from throughout his career.
More recently in 2013 they were invited, along with several other artists, to play two songs at a tribute night at which Daniel Johnston headlined himself.

As well as playing a selection of songs from ‘Artistic Vice’, the band have been working on a new album for release in 2015.

Palomica is Nicol, also of geographically-challenged songsters Frozy, and friends. Songs and sounds, with and without words.
