Led by critically-acclaimed lutenist Toby Carr (theorbo), early music ensemble Ursula's Arrow present a concert performance of Purcell's seminal opera 'Dido and Aeneas'.
A tragic story of love and duty, 'Dido and Aeneas' set's Virgil's poetic masterpiece to some of the finest music of the English classical canon. Regarded as one of the cornerstones of the operatic tradition, 'Dido and Aeneas' is an accessible, lyrical work that is an ideal introduction to the world of opera, and one of its most enduring favourites.
This is an opportunity to see a perennial classic, in an intimate setting, performed by a cast of rising young talent.
