The Hurriers - Defiance Sessions

The Hurriers are a 5-piece band from Barnsley in South Yorkshire. With irresistible pop hooks and hard hitting lyrics this inter-generational band (they feature a father and son amongst their ranks) are on a mission to put the values of socialism and trade unionism back into music. But this is no dry manifesto, they’ll also get your feet moving and your fists pumping.

The ‘Defiance Sessions’ promote music that beats with a revolutionary heart. Each gig will feature a singer/songwriter or band that has politics, passion and protest in their music.

Doors open at 7pm and music will normally start between 730 and 8pm. The gigs are all timed to finish at 10pm. The bar will stay open and we will play some great music and give the audience a chance to chat to the performers. This also means people who don’t live in Glossop can get the last train back to Manchester which usually leaves around 10.35pm
