Mechanical Mouse Organ play a distinctive mash of classic and alternative rock pushed through the tonal blender with a large dose of melody and a healthy injection of raw power. They made their live debut at Newcastle’s Dog and Parrot in October to an enthusiastic reception. Further gigs and an EP are planned for the new year.

The band formed on the back of a HUG reunion in 2011/2012. HUG released 3 e.p.’s and an album on Kitchenware Records in the early 90’s, were ranked by the NME as one of their top tips for 1991 and toured with the likes of New FADS and Pavement. The new band explores a harder-edged more rock-oriented direction in a set of new songs combining influences ranging from the Who to the Wedding Present, Hendrix to the Raconteurs, the Beatles to Dinosaur Jnr.
