Event information

Join Hieronymus for their London debut, an exciting performance of J.S. Bach’s St. John Passion. Using a lean, eighteen-piece ensemble, this promises to be an intimate and intense account of Bach’s most dramatic passion setting, played out in the unique underground surroundings of the Thames Tunnel Shaft at the Brunel Museum.

Formed in Birmingham in 2013 by singer, ‘cellist and composer Andrew Hopper, Hieronymus are a flexible and versatile ensemble, made up of some of the country’s most exciting young early music specialists. Particularly interested in performing unusual repertoire, and more common repertoire in unusual locations, Hieronymus are looking to make their mark on London in 2015.

The Thames Tunnel Shaft is below ground: the air is cool so please dress warmly.

We regret no wheelchair access is available.
