The next in our unique series of Artist Drop In Sessions hosted by the Featured Artists Coalition (Official) (FAC) and followed by a standout Live Showcase hosted in collaboration with Songwriting Magazine.

Quite simply, the FAC provides artists with a collective voice, support in building your artist business and advice on your rights. It's free to become a member and its active and hands on board of directors - including the likes of Annie Lennox, Nick Mason, Sandie Shaw, Rumer, and many more - are keen to know what it feels like to be an artist in today's musical landscape, to help the FAC represent you more effectively.

So far we have had Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, Marillion's Mark Kelly and the legendary Jocelyn Brown talk openly and informally to our artists and its been hugely insightful.

The Doppler Shift have had one simple ambition: To write and perform the best music that they can. No compromises. Lyrically they say they try to express honestly the world as they see it. Life is seldom rainbows and unicorns, but hope to translate the passions and frustrations that we all experience on a daily basis, and that we often find hard to express.

With musicial influences ranging from Jeff Buckley, to Led Zeppelin, to Radiohead, to The Cure ... all the way through Rachmaninov and Beethoven, they are stunning.

SADIE JEMMETT

Sadie Jemmett’s extraordinary songs reflect a remarkable life. Behind the entrancing, eloquence of her lyrics and the subtle acoustic beauty of her music lies a restlessly seeking spirit and a rich but frequently dark experience.

Sadie’s debut album ‘The Blacksmith’s Girl’ was mixed and co-produced in Los Angeles by Grammy winner David Bianco (Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash), mastered in London by Kevin Metcalfe (Queen/David Bowie/Robert Plant) and produced by Steve Lee and is due to be released in June.

Drawing from the classic to the more recent soul legends, and melodies from acoustic roots. With influences of Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, D'angelo, Maxwell, Musiq, Seal, India Arie, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix, Anthony Hamilton.
