Event information

Debbie does the best of Blondie and Debbie Harry plus The Jam Kim Wilde, Madness, Soft Cell, T.Rex, UB40, The Clash, The Eurythmics, Bad Manners, The Specials - BOOTLEG BLONDIE is the official Deborah Harry and Blondie tribute band. The only Blondie tribute to play the Isle of Wight Festival, London's 100 Club and Hammersmith Palais and the legendary CBGB in New York City, the Holy Grail of American Punk and New Wave, where the real Blondie kicked off their career.

Being big BLONDIE fans we decided to pay tribute to New York's classic new wave band of the 70s and 80s. Debbie Harris, lead vocalist of Bootleg Blondie, has the looks, the voice and attitude of the original Blondie Bombshell, and like her heroine is typically outrageous on stage. She has been known to wear dustbin liners, thigh high boots and t.shirts with more holes than t.shirt!
Debbie Harris and the boys have met the REAL Blondie and have been officially endorsed by the band. Deborah Harry got in touch when she heard we were playing at CBGBs to wish us good luck with our show and both Deborah Harry and Chris Stein have signed the band’s guitars. When Clem Burke , Blondie’s drummer, found out that we were making a replica of his Premier drum kit, he arranged to meet us and signed our bass drum skin. During the 2010 Blondie tour of the UK we took Clem out for a trip around London in our tour bus and he signed that too. In 2014 Debbie was invited along by Clem to the Foo Fighters studio 606 in Los Angeles where Dave Grohl had made his recent film Sound City and Paul Mccartney had recorded "Cut me some slack"

Debbie has appeared as a Deborah Harry look-a-like on ITV’s ‘The Mint’
and has also been featured in the The Sunday Observer, photographed
by the famous rock photographer Kevin Cummins, who co-incidentally
has worked with the real Deborah Harry and Blondie!

Debbie Harris is the niece of the celebrated singer and actress
Shani Wallis who played Nancy in Lionel Bart’s musical film 'Oliver'

Our favourite quote is: 'Good luck with your show' by DEBBIE HARRY
