Leicester’s longest running poetry night moves to The Y. Consisting of an open mic, professional act and regular pool of chipper comperes, WORD! has seen luminaries such as Mark Gwynne Jones, Zena Edwards and Niall O’Sullivan perform alongside the region’s finest up and coming talent.
WORD! @ The Y will see poets and performers skip their vowels and strut their rhythms amongst the sofas of The Y’s brand new bar. It’s the beginning of an era - and we want you to be here!
WORD! At The Y is on the first Tuesday of each month. The line-up for November/December is yet to be announced. Further details will be posted on www.myspace.com/wordleicester as they become available. Poets wishing to perform should arrive at 7.30pm and register with the compere.
