Michael Janisch (acoustic/electric bass), Jim Hart (vibraphones), James Maddren (drums).

Michael Janisch, is a rising star and prominent new voice on the electric and acoustic basses. JazzWise described him as a “muscular, fluent player with an irresistible pulse and virtuosic soloing technique” and he is much in demand in the UK, Europe United States. He has shared the stage with the likes of renowned US musicians Joe Lovano, Clark Terry, Mark Turner, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Shirley Horn, and Roy Hargrove and UK greats Jason Rebello,
Tim Garland, Tommy Smith, Jean Toussaint, and Gary Husband.

Tonight he presents a special trio playing his own original contemporary jazz music and arranged standards. Featuring the recent British Jazz Award winner Jim Hart on vibraphones and James Maddren - one of the London jazz scenes hot new prospects on drums - the music will be rhythmic, exciting and hard driving from these young but seasoned musicians.

An open mic jam session follows giving audience members the opportunity to jam with the trio on stage. Previous Live Box ‘jammers’ have included vocalists, a rapper, performance poets, a drummer and a tin whistle player!
