POETS OF THE CITY (VITKA - BLATNÝ - JAN) / DANCE - THEATRE

Immerse yourself in Czech culture and history through the medium of dance-theatre. This feature presents three different performances based on literature, music and political writings of various figures in recent Czech history.

Reflect upon a violent past through peace and love without resistance inspired by the sacrifice of Jan Palach; focus on the poetry of Blatny and the accompanying actions that can bring moments of relief, and listen to the compositions of Vitezslava Kapralova and the movement of finding beauty during the hardest of times. Share in the emotion from a not too distant past through these three beautifully choreographed pieces.
