Event information

Cregan & Co are a hugely entertaining and talented band fronted by Rod Stewart’s guitarist, fellow songwriter, producer, musical director... Jim Cregan www.jimcregan.com/Credits.html. It’s an evening of great music from the Rod Stewart songbook as well as a few other hits that Jim has written over the years with other rock stars and the show features the excellent Ben Mills on vocals and guitar...(Ben achieved fame as an X Factor finalist!) ... who firmly puts his own stamp on some of Rod Stewart’s biggest hits alongside the man who helped write them.

Jim Cregan is a highly regarded guitarist and songwriter, co-writing hit songs with Rod Stewart. Jim was also guitarist with Family and Cockney Rebel (with whom he’s touring in November 2015) and was responsible for the iconic acoustic guitar break in Cockney Rebel’s ‘Come Up An See Me (Make Me Smile)’. He has worked as a writer, producer and musician with many rock and pop stars including Art Garfunkel, Ronnie Wood, Ringo Starr, Elton John, Willie Nelson, Tina Turner, Cat Stevens, Joe Cocker and has credits on Lulu’s acclaimed new album! His work has achieved top-five hits in different charts and several more platinum-selling records and he’s recorded two platinum selling albums with Katie Melua and has also toured extensively with her.

Jim joined Rod Stewart’s band in 1977 and became his music director, co-producer and co-writer. He co-wrote some of Rod Stewart’s greatest hits including “Passion”, “Tonight I’m Yours” and “Forever Young”. Jim also co-wrote “Brighton Beach” which is on Rod’s latest album “Time” and released as a single in 2013. As Rod Stewart commented “If you can’t afford my tickets go see these guys ..... they’re just as good and half the price!!” More than anything this band are great fun, they create a party atmosphere at all their gigs and it’s hard not to sing along to all the hits and dance to some of the music that has formed the soundtrack of our lives.
