Gaiteiros de Lisboa is a folk-traditional-world band whose experimental use of the bag pipe and their own original instruments, sets up a bridge between old and new, blending traditional styles with contemporary sensibilities. Basing its work upon the combination of the sound of different wind instruments and vocal polyphonies, the band plays songs and tunes from the various Portuguese traditions as well as from other cultures, and own compositions.
