As the name suggests it's a big band orchestra (quite literally, 18 piece in fact), and big band swing is their thing, something that rocknroll venues are crying out for we thinks...The Ray Charles Orchestra, Quincy Jones' classic lineup, Glen Miller, Basie and Duke all reverberate with this marvellous array of talented, seasoned players....and yes they can really swing but have the requisite lightness of touch on the more reflective passages. A fabulous night out guaranteed with fabulous female featured vocalist giving the razzle dazzle brass some sass up front. Soooooperb night out for hipsters, dipsters, rad dads and yummy mummies or just plain no nonsense music fans...
We Got Killers present a special jazz and film themes oriented DJ set (Jazz and Filmic Sounds with Tony Bugbear/Soho Radio's Sunday Sync) between Duke Street's two fabulous performances....
