Come one come all to the Tower of Song to see the best touring singer songwriters in the UK and beyond! This month we've got the amazing Yvonne Lyon. Singer/songwriter Yvonne Lyon is among the best and brightest talent currently emerging from the UK. Her new album, These Small Rebellions features songs co-written with Boo Hewerdine, Andrew Howie and David Lyon plus special guest appearances from Emily Smith, Cara Luft, Steph Macleod and Seonaid Aitken.
She has consistently stirred audiences across the UK and beyond with her emotive performances, combining poignant lyrics with creative melodies and demonstrating a voice that can be both fragile and intense.
Yvonne has shared the stage with Beth Nielsen Chapman, Patti Griffin, Karine Polwart, Luka Bloom, Steve Forbert, Juliet Turner and IONA.
In 2009, Yvonne was among the winners of the Burnsong International Songwriting Competition and performed her winning song All Is Not Lost at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh. She has enjoyed television appearances on BBC 1 and BBC Alba and has also had the privilege of guesting on two live sessions with Bob Harris on his BBC Radio 2 show. Support by the amazing Andrew Howie, and a few songs to start from host Lobelia Lawson.

Andrew Howie is a singer-songwriter and music-maker based in Stirling, Scotland.

From 2000 - 2013 he made a vast amount of music under the name Calamateur, releasing 5 albums and several EPs, singles and mini-albums, while receiving a good deal of radio play and critical acclaim along the way. You can find all the music he made as Calamateur here.

His 2015 album The Great Divide was the first to be released under his own name. It retained many of the characteristics of his work as Calamateur (guitar-based songs submersed in other-wordly electronica) but was a huge step-forward in terms of songwriting and production.
