Pentillie has teamed up with Pro Q, Skinners brewery, and UK BBQ Magazine among others to bring you a day of sizzle, flames & delicious food at Pentillie Castle on Sunday 10th July, 11am-6pm.

Pentillie are delighted to bring you PenGrillie - their inaugural BBQ and food festival.

It will be a family day out for all BBQ enthusiasts, both eaters, and grillers, with something for everyone - from taking part in the competition itself, to just sipping a 'Betty Stoggs' and taking in the vibe.

12 teams (applications still welcome) will be going head to head to win the title of Pentillie Pitmaster, cooking their way through the four categories - ribs, the ultimate burger, fish and chicken. Taking elements of the traditional 'low and slow' American style of BBQ competition, and adding 'open flame' cooking perhaps more suited to the awesome produce found locally, they will be sharing their top tips, mis-leading you on the ingredients list of their favourite rub, and letting you try their finished dishes.

Surrounding the competition will be BBQ demonstrations (including top tips from Jackie Weight the only British winner of the Jack Daniels Invitational BBQ Competition, and Sizzle Grills showcasing the Argentinian way), a Skinners bar hosted by Betty Stoggs herself with support from Cornish Orchards, delicious food from some of the South West's best street food outlets, live music, and some of the best food producers from Devon & Cornwall.
